This paper explores reward-based crowdfunding in the context of Islamic finance, looking at its operational aspects, compatibility with Islamic principles, and overall framework. Examining how Shariah principles mesh with rewardbased crowdfunding mechanics and practices, the study evaluates how well it adheres to Islamic finance doctrines.

The financial world has experienced a remarkable transformation in the past decade, with technological innovations and digitalisation revolutionising how financial services are delivered. Notably, the adoption of Islamic fintech services has surged in DKI Jakarta and West Java regions, heralding a groundbreaking trend in the Islamic finance industry. By offering cost-effective, efficient, easily accessible, and Sharia-compliant financial services, Islamic fintech has far-reaching socio-economic implications, especially in areas with a substantial Muslim population, such as Indonesia.
