Tazkia University College of Islamic Economics has signed the Memorandum of Understanding with International Institute of Islamic Economics (IIIE), International Islamic University (IIU) Islamabad, Pakistan on 12 December 2017/ 23 Rabiul Awwal 1439H. The Parties, subject to the terms of this Memorandum of Understanding and the laws, rules, regulations and national policies from each country will endeavor to strengthen, promote and develop academic co-operation between the Parties on the basis of equality and mutual benefit.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Murniati Mukhlisin, M.Acc, the Rector of Tazkia, in the presence of Deny Try Basuki, the Counselor of Socio-Cultural Affairs of Indonesian Embassy Islamabad. From IIE, the MoU was signed by Dr. Atiquzzafar Khan, the General Director of IIIE in the presence of Dr. Muhammad Khaleequzzaman, Head of Training and Seminars, School of Islamic Banking and Finance, IIU Islamabad, Pakistan.
The co-operation ranges in the following areas: exchange of staff and student, exchange of publications; research collaboration, joint seminar, conference and workshop, programs of integrated knowledge and practical training and short courses to enhance academic curriculum, sandwich program offered by IIIE and Tazkia; and any other areas of co-operation to be mutually agreed upon by the Parties. This MoU is an umbrella to be expanded by both parties to work on academic and research advancement.
The MoU signing was taken place in Faizal Masjid, old campus of IIUI Pakistan right after the closing ceremony of the Thematic Workshop on Enhancing Poor’s Capability and Financial Inclusion from Islamic Perspective (TWoEPC 2017) in Islamabad Pakistan from the 11th to 12th December 2017 which was jointly organized by IIE-IIU Islamabad in collaboration with IRTI-IDB.
On this International workshop, the Rector of Tazkia, Dr. Murniati Mukhlisin and the Director for Tazkia International Program, Anita Priantina, M.Ec were invited to present their research papers on enhancing poor’s capability and financial inclusion.
